Why Choose Heated Classes?

If you’ve ever paused at the word heated and wondered whether it’s really for you, you’re not alone.

For many people, heated classes can sound intense, extreme, or geared towards a particular type of practitioner. In reality, when heat is used thoughtfully, it can be one of the most supportive ways to move — especially during colder months.

At the studio, heated classes aren’t just about pushing limits or testing endurance. They’re about creating an environment that helps the body and mind soften, settle, and move with a little more ease.

Warmth that supports movement

Gentle warmth helps muscles and joints feel more pliable, which can make movement feel smoother and more comfortable — particularly if you’re feeling stiff, tight, or sluggish.

In winter especially, it’s common for bodies to feel a bit guarded. Warmth can help reduce that initial resistance, allowing you to move more freely without forcing anything.

Dry heat, not intensity

Not all heated classes are the same. The warmth at the studio is dry and carefully regulated, designed to feel comfortable rather than overwhelming. It’s warm enough to support movement, but not sticky, humid, or extreme.

Many people are surprised by how pleasant it feels — warm, cosy, and steady rather than intense.

A calmer nervous system

Heat has a naturally calming effect on the nervous system. Combined with breath and mindful movement, it can help you drop out of the day’s busyness and into a more settled state.

People often leave heated classes feeling not just physically looser, but mentally clearer and more grounded.

You don’t need to be flexible or experienced

Heated classes aren’t reserved for advanced practitioners. In fact, many people attending are trying this style of practice for the first time.

Classes are taught with options throughout, and you’re always encouraged to move at your own pace. Resting, pausing, or adapting is not only allowed — it’s actively encouraged.

Two different ways to experience warmth

Not everyone enjoys the same pace or intensity, which is why Heated Mondays offer two distinct options.

Some people enjoy a more dynamic flow where warmth builds gradually alongside movement. Others prefer a slower, gentler approach where the heat simply provides comfort and support.

Both are valid, and both offer the benefits of practising in a warm room — just with a different feel.

A supportive way to begin (or begin again)

For some, heated classes become a regular part of their routine. For others, they’re a gentle way back into movement after time away.

There’s no expectation to commit to anything long-term or to feel a certain way about it. You’re simply invited to try, notice how it feels, and decide from there.

So, why heated classes?

Because warmth can help movement feel kinder.Because winter bodies often need a little extra care.Because feeling comfortable makes it easier to show up.

And because sometimes, the simplest support — a warm room, thoughtful guidance, and space to move at your own pace — is exactly what’s needed.
