Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Old Chapel Studio.
Your privacy matters to me, and I’m committed to handling your personal information carefully and transparently. This policy explains what data I collect, how it’s used, and your rights in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

2. Who I am

The Old Chapel Studio is operated by Aga Chandler, based in Brockholes, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, UK.

If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is used, you can contact me at:
📧 aga@theoldchapelstudio.co.uk

3. What information I collect

I only collect the information needed to run classes, process bookings, and keep you informed if you choose to receive updates. This may include:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number)

  • Booking details (classes, courses, dates, payments)

  • Payment information (securely processed by Wix Payments — I never see or store full card details)

  • Messages or enquiries sent via the contact form

  • Email addresses for newsletter sign-ups (only if you opt in)

4. How your information is used

Your data is used to:

  • Confirm and manage class bookings

  • Process payments securely

  • Send class reminders or updates about your booking

  • Share newsletters and occasional updates — only if you’ve subscribed

  • Respond to questions or enquiries you send

I will never sell or rent your data, and I only share it when it’s necessary for running the business (for example, through Wix’s secure booking and payment system).

5. How your data is stored and protected

Your personal data is securely stored within Wix’s protected servers, which meet GDPR compliance standards.
I also take care to ensure that any data I handle directly (for example, emails or booking confirmations) is kept safe and only accessible to me.

6. Sharing your data

Your information may be shared with:

  • Wix.com Ltd. (website and booking platform provider)

  • Wix Payments (for secure payment processing)

These third parties process data on my behalf under strict confidentiality and data protection standards.

7. How long your data is kept

I only keep your information for as long as it’s needed:

  • Booking and payment records are retained for accounting and tax purposes (usually 6 years).

  • Email addresses for newsletters are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do anytime.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information I hold about you

  • Correct any inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your data (unless I need to keep it for legal reasons)

  • Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time

To exercise these rights, simply email me at aga@theoldchapelstudio.co.uk.

9. Cookies

Wix websites use cookies to ensure proper site functioning and to improve your experience. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.

10. Changes to this policy

I may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in how I operate or in legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with the revised date.

Thank you for trusting The Old Chapel Studio.
I value your privacy and promise to keep your personal information safe and used only for the reasons you’ve agreed to.
